Situated in the town of Bartlett, The Covered Bridge House B&B is a perfect place to stay when you want to enjoy all there is to do in the Mt. Washington Valley.  Our central location offers easy access to the nearby villages of Jackson and North Conway as well as close proximity to all White Mountain attractions, ski areas, golf courses, hiking trails, waterfalls and tax-free shopping.  Our Inn is a circa 1900 center hall colonial style home which was aptly named for its most unique feature – an original 1850’s covered bridge, the Bartlett Covered Bridge,  which is located just steps away from the inn.  The bridge now houses our  Covered Bridge Shoppe which has been a favorite stop for travelers in our valley since 1965.

We are a small bed & breakfast welcoming both couples and families with our charming guest rooms, full country breakfast and ideal location on the banks of the Saco River.  Our cozy living room is a great place to gather with  friends or family, perhaps add a piece or two to the current jigsaw puzzle, or curl up with a good book by the fire.  We serve a hearty country breakfast each morning in our sunny dining room, where guests can dine at individual tables but still enjoy interacting with one another.  In warmer weather, we also offer breakfast outdoors on our patio.  Our new pantry offers our guests the convenience of a refrigerator and a microwave as well as a coffee maker and electric kettle for afternoon tea.   Our outdoor hot tub, which is open year round, is a favorite place for our guests to relax and unwind after a day on the slopes or the trails.

Our Bartlett B and B is lucky to have a fabulous stretch of the Saco River right in our backyard.  In the summertime our guests enjoy soaking in the peaceful surroundings in an adirondack chair, along the banks of the Saco River.  On a hot summer day, there is no better way to cool off than by taking a dip in the river at our swimming hole.  The river is always refreshing!  After your swim you can stretch out on the flat rocks to sunbathe.  In addition to swimming, the Saco is a great river for tubing, canoeing and kayaking.  Rental companies are located nearby and also provide shuttle services.

The Mt. Washington Valley is a perfect location to view New Englands spectacular scenery.  The surrounding White Mountain National Forest offers plenty of opportunites for scenic drives and fabulous hikes.  We are located right on The White Mountains Trail which was designated a National Scenic Byway.   The Trail is a loop tour that winds through sections of the 800,000-acre White Mountain National Forest and past many of the region’s most popular attractions.   Please check our Area Attractions page for a list of activities for every season of the year.
